Once upon a time... Sag entered a 5-a-side footy team at the Halesowen Powerleague Centre...

Going by the name of 'Carlsberg Knights' - in honour of the red Liverpool shirts that are used as a kit, and also homage to when a fair few of us who used to play indoor football for various teams at the Cradley Ballpark - a long time ago... in a lifetime far, far away...
...Playing in the Thursday Night Leagues, it is hoped that the players will stay or get fit, sharpen up their skills (there is a licensed bar), maybe even win some matches, have a laugh and enjoy themselves.
Matches are 45 minutes long, with standard small sided football rules applying (no slide tackles, 'keepers must distribute the ball underarm, a 'head-height' rule is in effect, no entering the gk penalty area, players must wear shinpads, and must wear trainers etc).
The pitches are outdoor - on a soft astroturf-type surface. There are changing-rooms and a licensed bar with tvs showing live sports on various channels. The cost of each match is £33.50 per team per game, with a £15 registration fee to paid each season. The Powerleague is affiliated with the FA, and all referees are qualified (as insane?)
