Hi, this site is a great resource for small business owners. I have a natural candle manufacturing business, I was approached by vendorpro to sign up with them as a seller. I would love feedback from another manufacturer/artist who has signed up with this company, how has it worked for you?? Also, does anyone out there have any suggestions on where I can post my products for retail buyers to see? I exhibit in the national trade shows (they are expensive), I need other resources. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

REVIEW

I found this review online. I know there aren’t any guarantees in life but it sounds like a good opportunity. I hope it is. - S.Browmen

“I give them a thumbs up. Getting set-up was easy. I’m computer illiterate but managed without a problem. The inquires I get from stores have been consistent since day one. Most of the stores that buy from me are specialty shops. I’m still waiting for Walmart to come around but have high hopes. A great investment. Good luck.

Sincerely,
Troy Perkins”

Do i join? I've been considering it for the past month and think I'm just about ready to take the plunge. I've spoken with a few of their members and have gotten good feedback so far. Hope my products take off too. Business has been slow so I need the pick me up. We'll see how it goes. I'll keep you all posted.

I am confused by conflicting assessments. Did you ever join VendorPro? Did it work for you? there seem to be equal amounts of pros and cons....hard to spend $340 without more certainty.
Looking for more info from experienced members of VendorPro.
Thanks, Bunny

I just joined. Inquires have been pretty consistent. Landed a few mom and pop stores already but still waiting for the Walmarts of the world. Great bang for the buck.

Has anyone else tried this?

December 27 2004, 12:20 PM

Has anyone else tried this? I've spoken with a few of their members and so far the feedback has been positive. Hopefully my books will sell. I'll probably join once I've got the spare $340.

I see VendPro is not to be trusted

February 9 2005, 3:30 PM

Thank you, Roy Addams..
I just received a letter from them, they saw some of my work in a free website, and invited me to join their thousands (???) of members and told me how incredible my future would be.
I see testimonies only from 4 vendors.. not big deal... I don´t want to offend the handicraft people I see there... but I expected more testimonials.
I am at AbsoluteArts, where I am paying $75 per year... I have not sold anything yet (well, I did not pay them for emailng their galleries.. maybe that would have helped.. but it is because of the money)
$340 is a lot of money, so I will not jooin them. Roy´s letter has been very illustrative. Thanks!
