It's tough finding homebased businesses that work. I have tried a few in the past and decided that I would do better starting my own business. My backgroud is in training and I'm a veteran. I built this business for years at night/weekends and it nearly killed me and almost bankrupted me. The original intent was to build corporate courses for exiting military folks so they wouldn't have the climb the corporate ladder the hard way. I wanted to get the gov. to pay for it or reimburse them through their alumni programs. Then someone suggested if I could duplicate the online training. Then the light bulb "aha" moment went off. I could easily duplicate a training site but that wasn't the most bang for the buck - the training management system was the most bang for the buck. I built what I call a hybrid or "new industry". We set up entrepreneurs with their own custom training site with our courses. That's their consumer market products. Then we give them the ability to sell our management system (like a sales rep would) to any business clients they secure. That's their business market product. We aid in all business client sales. 20% commissions of $50 - $100k product ain't bad, then we give them 10% for each client they keep year over year. If distributors clear goal - commissions on 1st year sales move iup 25%. Of course we can't guarantee success - that's all in each individuals ability to passionately and effectively market their own business.

Glad to see that you made money with SMC. My wife and I borrowed money from Wells Fargo to get into that buisiness. We lost our shirt. Every time I go to my lawn shed to cut my grass, I see the box of stuff I bought and never sold. Some people make good money with SMC. I was just not one of them.

My name is Jesse and I have been pursuing home-based businesses and opportunities since my senior year of high school.

What program are you in? and how much work are you putting into this? There are a few things that are involved with internet marketing. You have to get a system that works and is proven to you. It's only what people seem to flock to when they see so many people always do it to get them in. Go for the more reasonable approach and just realize no one gets rich over night unless they win the lottery or someone gives a will.
