Email Marketing – Is it worth?

March 31 2007 at 3:06 AM

from IP address 59.95.167.161

I often see ads on the internet. They claim to offer 1000’s of email address, from any category you can imagine. I have two thoughts on this … First will it really bring in some money if I send mails to these prospects? I can try it as these lists are real cheap.

The second thought which comes to my mind is … They would have sold this list to 1000’s of people so will it really help me?

Please provide your comments so that I can make a decision.

As far as I know about email marketing buying inexpensive leads you are able to email your message out and build a list with the people who opt-in or respond to what your are offering. An associate told me a guy he collaborates with does email marketing and generating $5,000 to $20,000 a month. This form of marketing can be worthwhile.

Best Regards,
Danyelle

re Email Marketing

Hi JonCnel

Forget about buying cheap lists. These lists have been sold thousands of times over. And many of the addresses have been extracted from web sites without their owners knowledge. You will get almost no response from these type lists. And the most likely response that you will get will be a spam complaint and your internet provider may terminate your service due to the complaints.

If you are going to but a list you need to purchase targeted lists but they will be much more expensive.

Thanks
Joe

Emails and Internet Marketing

October 5 2007, 1:18 PM

I have been doing a newsletter for a year now. Once you get a large list or you use bought names you start to run into problems with Spam complaints and server issues. I have people who have signed up, but forgot and find it easier to hit the SPAM complaint button than the unsubscribe option. I am rethinking my whole business strategy. I came across this controversial report called "The IM-Myth" 100% free today and find out how to make real money. It is very interesting.

I found email marketing is worth it- if you have a needed product or service. However, to build traffic to your site, I suggest SEM- Search Engine Marketing.

Discover the sneaky (yet legal) strategies will enable you to squeeze every single cent from your website visitors. Each of these Affiliate Landmines could be worth thousands to you!!!

I have used SEM in the past and have limited success. I think it depends on what you are offering whether or not it will work for you.
