I dug up a mini bio on Joe Lewis that has footage of him fighting and examples of each of his signature/trademark martial arts moves. When you watch this footage and then this debatable footage SOMETHING just doesn't sit right:
1. The first guy's moves are just too smooth and natural to be Joe Lewis.
2. The main thing is when you watch this footage is the referee let's the guy make several points of contact. Like he IS sparring. I say this only because in the Lewis second guy footage each hit RESTARTS the match. Did you guys notice this?
I believe Bruce Lee did a quick spar demo at this tournament and this is edited between the Joe Lewis footage. I would like to see Jensen's magazine pics that he says complements the footage. I think this is crucial.
Bruce Jensen, thanks for sharing the info from the magazine. If you can find a friend or library, picture kiosk, anything to make the scans this would be really appreciated. I am also interested to find out what was torn out of PAGE 9 in the magazine you have before you.
Again, when I post the Joe Lewis footage online also taken in 1967 you will notice OBVIOUS DIFFERENCES. We've got to get to the bottom of this!
It has been a pleasure debating and sharing opinions with you all. Much respect. No disrespect intended. I thank you all for being civil to each other and honestly sharing your viewpoints on this. You don't see that much anymore - ONLINE or OFF.
Talk with you soon!
Thanks,
