I was just wondering since I thought, maybe you're new to Chinese culture and the Bruce Lee films, as the questions you asked I thought were obvious.

Carl's answered for you but I'll add that sometimes there are no Chinese equivalent to
certain English words and phrases, so that's one reason they are used.
