The thing about Andy is he is extremely busy at events, making sure everything is running to time, etc. I've known him introduce something and then the next minute he's vanished into thin air like a ninja
He's constantly rushing around and this is very stressful. I've been on the recieving end of things when things aren't going to plan. I put it down to the stress of the event, and support him the best I can. I didn't attend Seni this year due to other commitments, so I can't comment on what he was like there.
I've not come on here to cause trouble and have a go at anyone. I'm just trying to put across what goes into an event. I'm not even having a go at Carl Jones. He has his opinion, though shouting from the rooftops now could have been avoided if he'd addressed his opinions at the time. That's all that I am saying.
As for the letter from Shannon's lawyers - yes, I did recieve it but this is old news. This happened in 2001 if I recall. Yes it was 2001 because it was about a week after my father's passing. The letter actually referred to the domain name www.bruceleemuseum.com that I owned at the time. The website had been registered about 11 months prior to recieving the letter and was in development. The site was intended as a collector's site where collectables would have been listed along with price guides (according to eBay averages at the time) with a forum for fans to trade items, etc. Work was underway but ceased about 2 months after registering the domain due to my father being re-diagnosed with cancer. So the domain lay dormant for a while. I recieved the letter from Jill Pietrini (Shannon's attorney) just after my father's death from cancer. Personally, I still feel that there was no need for a letter of that manner. All Shannon had to do was explain that there was going to be a museum in the future (which I heard from reliable sources that's why she wanted the domain name) and would I transfer the name over to her to use on the project. I would have gladly obliged with no hassle.
However this didn't happen. Her lawyer strongarmed me into giving up the domain name, demanding I transfer it over to them and sign a disclaimer saying that I would never register another domain name with Bruce Lee in it again. Thankfully, the domain name was due to expire so when it expired I told her lawyer that it had expired and it was her responsibility to register it. This saved me the transferal fee and also saved me from signing the disclaimer.
I found that it wasn't so much that the domain name had Bruce Lee in it as they had claimed, it was that it had Bruce Lee Museum in it and if they ever wanted to set up a Bruce Lee Museum, that domain name was the most valuable to them. Hence why they also went after www.brucelee.com. This would seem correct as they never went after www.bruceleedivinewind.com even though that had Bruce Lee in the title. The fact of the matter is that I had a domain name that was valuable to them and they wanted it.
Why the lawyers are monitoring me, is beyond me. I haven't (unlawfully)registered a domain name containing Bruce Lee since 2001. Although I did register a Bruce Lee domain name in late 2000 / early 2001 but that was authorised by the Bruce Lee Educational Foundation at the time.

I hope this clears up the myth of my letter from Shannon's lawyers. That's the true story of what happened. I think I still have the letter at home somewhere.

Carl
