Yes, they did indeed threaten me with a lawsuit if I continued to use the original Jeet Kune Do symbol. I had already seen this coming so I had already changed my logo anyway, so I was a few steps ahead of them there. As for Poteet using it still, I assume it is because he teaches original Jeet Kune Do and is an original Bruce Lee student.
This Cox guy contacted me a few times in the past asking for certification. I told him that I didn't know him or know of him and he had never trained with me before, so there is no way I could certify him at any level in Jeet Kune Do. He also asked me to come to his school and do a seminar, but he didn't want to pay my expenses, so that didn't happen. He sent me a link to his website, and there were photos of his school. His school was actually a converted Dairy Queen! At least I got a good laugh out of that! I can't believe that he actually has a book out! I'll have to order a copy just to see what this guy is all about! Who knows, he might really know something!
