Response to For Mr. Lee

Thanks for your questions - well especially to Bruce, great work. Here is what i've sent to Dave to kindly pass on to George Lee. Big thanks to Dave once again for bringing great q&a's to our forum.

Dear Mr George Lee, My sincere thanks to you for your time and effort in answering our questions. I remember meeting you at a Bruce Lee convention held in LA in July 2003 which was organised by Robert Lee and David Tadman. It was a real pleasure in meeting you and having my picture taken with you. Our best wishes to you from all members of my Tribute to Bruce Lee discussion forum. Best, Nick Clarke

1. How did you first meet Bruce Lee and what were your first impressions?

2. Did you train in any styles of martial arts before you met Bruce? If so, how different was Bruce's approach from your previous experience?

3. What was it about Bruce Lee that caught your eye and you knew that he was the man that you wanted to learn from ?

4. Since Bruce and James passed away, have you continued your martial arts training with any other teachers?

5. Outside of being a great martial artist, what else did you like about Bruce Lee?

6. We know that Bruce liked to play jokes on people, is there one that sticks out the most and can you kindly share it ?

7. What's your opinion about original JKD vs JKD concepts? Was Bruce open minded about looking at what various martial arts and artists had to offer?

8. How did Bruce and James Lee differ as martial artists? I've gotten the impression James Lee was naturally a bit stockier than Bruce and trained much more in a variety of breaking techniques. Was James stronger as far as weightlifting was concerned?

9. What was a typical martial arts lesson with Bruce or James? What techniques did you practice?

10. What did you think of the official bio film, Dragon The Bruce Lee Story? Was it too fictionalized for your taste? Would you like to see a more accurate or true to life bio film made about Bruce? What should be shown about Bruce Lee that fans haven't seen yet?

11. What did Bruce tell you about his fight with Wong Jack Man? Who witnessed that fight? Did Bruce's approach to martial arts training change much after that? Did the techniques practiced at Bruce & James' school change much?

12. What is your favourite item that you made for Bruce and did you make anything intended for any of his movies?

13. Could you describe the experience you felt when you saw your first Bruce Lee movie? What is your favourite BL movie?

14. There are rumors being spread in the last few years that Bruce used steroids, is there any truth to it? Was steroid use prevalent among bodybuilders in the fifties & sixties? Was it legal at that time?

15. When was the last time you saw or spoke with Bruce? Also, how did you find out about his passing? Do you have any doubts about the cause of his death?

16. What are your fondest memories of Bruce?
