Response to Tom Kuhn suggested the working title of 'The Warrior'
That was a breakthrough! Excellent find, bro!
Fred Weintraub said he hired writers Ed Spielman and Howard Friedlander and tried to put a feature together for Bruce, but could never get anything off the ground. Then, Bruce Lee was involved in discussions with the studios and pitched his own ideas in which the storyline resembles the later made "Kung Fu" series. Tom Kuhn even suggested the working title 'The Warrior' and apparently called it "Kung Fu" when the series was released.
IMO, it's very sure that Bruce did contribute his ideas to Kung Fu (aka The Warrior) which later made it to the final script. For racists' reason, the producer get David Carradine as the lead instead. Bruce Lee should deserve the credits for his contribution. Likewise, in Longstreet's pilot episode and the unmade Silent Flute where he contributed many of his ideas but the final writer was credited to Stirling Silliphant. Yet we know there are ideas contributed by Bruce Lee.
