How is Chine doing right now and how will 2009 be for China? Some say China is going down others say nothing is happening at all.

China is going to suffer just like all other nations.
There is no immunity from the economic meltdown.

China will stimulate the economy and rely on internal demand. They will slow down in growth to at worst 6% which is still a very bad slow down for China, with that many people. The worst case scenario is if foreign investment suddenly nose dives and mass unemployment erupts everywhere due to pull outs.

Siege of Tobruk - One German POW said: "I cannot understand you Australians. In Poland, France, and Belgium, once the tanks got through the soldiers took it for granted that they were beaten. But you are like demons. The tanks break through and your infantry still keep fighting." Rommel wrote of seeing "a batch of some fifty or sixty Australian prisoners ... marched off close behind usimmensely big and powerful men, who without question represented an elite formation of the British Empire, a fact that was also evident in battle."

Not going to happen, I can't imagine the food industry like Yum is going to pull out of China. Even walmart is doing well, so not so bad in China.

The National Bureau of Statistics said that Chinese economic growth would not drop under 8%/year, and would start to recover in the third quarter of 2009.
