Not sure if this has been posted yet. My thought for a response is "the US will apologize, right after Iran apologizes to the people of Lebanon for their interference in internal Lebanese affairs (maybe it could be a joint apology from Iran and Syria wink.gif ).

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has responded to an overture by US President Barack Obama by demanding an apology for "crimes committed by the United States against Iran over the past 60 years".

On Tuesday, President Obama extended a diplomatic hand towards Tehran in an interview with al-Arabiya, a Saudi-owned television network and said he hopes to re-establish dialogue with Iran. Relations between Washington and Tehran were particularly strained under the Bush administration.

President Ahmadinejad said in the address in the western region of Khermenshah - broadcast live on Iranian state TV - that the US president should prove he wants real change and real change involves putting an end to the US military presence in the world.

"Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it."
George Bernard Shaw
