Well I'm a Chinese living in California and I just watched it. It was a great celebration. Why on earth would Chinese protest this event? China has come a long way and this 60th anniversary meant more than just being under communist rule, you wouldn't understand. Heck, even the empire state building was lit up in red to commemorate the 60th anniversary of CCP. That my friend is what the Chinese have achieved influence, power and face.
