So why am I still confused? You are using TIMER to test execution speed, and using the result as the bounds of an empty loop. Right? So you replot the pixel's old location to the background color, then run the delay loop, then plot the pixel's new location. Er, but the rest, I don't quite get. The fastest possible would be no delay loop at all.
