Why not save it as a GIF, then?
But JPEG compression is in a sense like mp3/wav compression when related to BMPs...don't ask the stupid female programmer to explain because she can't at 11pm. Anyway. If you're using Paint Shop Pro, when you do "Save As" click on the button that says "Options." Compression Level...fool around with 1 or 99 or something. I don't know. And DPI (dots per inch methinks) has always been 300 for me...that works.
