I've searched all over the web and all the books I have but I cannot find good answers to the following:

1. Was there any difference between the 1958 430/375hp Lincoln engine and the 430/360hp Mercury engine?
(If so, what was it??)

2. Is it true that the only difference between the 430/360hp and the 430/400hp was the intake and the 3x2v?

My search did remind me that the origin of the famous "Holley List 1850" was in fact none other then the 430-4v of 1958!

Hey, if you're up for a 3rd question:
3. What color were these engines in the Merc and the Lincoln?

Thanks if anyone can help with these questions.
