Angostura vs Peychaud Bitters

March 7 2008, 9:42 AM

Which do you prefer?

I don't use bitters but if I did I'd support the locals (Peychaud/Sazerac Co.)

I always kept a bottle of Peychaud's in the fridge, mainly because Justin Wilson would come out with an occasional recipe calling for it.

Re: Sazerac's

I'm sippin' on some Sazerac Rye (Thankya, PuddleChuck!) on the rocks with lemon. I didn't feel like going through the Sazerac ritual.

Yes, sir - or

a lemon wedge.

Of course, hiccup cures only work once on me, generally, although the bitters have worked a few times. It's all about the element of surprise. Now I just ask PC to put something together and I close my eyes and open my mouth. The weirder it is, the faster it works. I remember a pepperoncini with cherry preserves on it. Ewwww. But it worked! I also bit into an onion once.

I hate the hiccups.
