the kid is a good wrestler and I am sure he went to Montini because wrestling was very important to him but now there is a good chance he won't ever wrestle varsity. Maybe its just a chance you take when sending your kid to a Catholic school? What other high school would he be wrestling for? I think the problem is that if he doesn't crack the lineup until junior or senior year he will miss alot of good competition that will pass him by. Nothing negative. I like the kid and wish he will be wrestling varsity somewhere so I can see him wrestle.He might be a qualifier or placer somewhere else. I also don't like him getting lumped in with some of the other Montini guys.Good Luck Vince!

Went to Montini but may never see the varsity lineup. McNaughton went to MC and left to go to Oak Lawn once Morgan and Lloyd came in and took over his spot.

I have seen them both wrestle now. McCaffrey at Northfield, Hannon at Augie. No doubt in my mind at this point McCaffrey comes out on top right now. But kids can improve a lot in a short time if they work hard enough so by the end of the season...who knows?

He was in a borderwars tourny... He weighed in under or right around 103, but bumped up to 112 to wrestle... He lost to a kid from Iowa, I believe in a very close match...Coach Sparky would know more....

He placed second to a very large Iowa kid. Cann't remember the score.
