I just was wondering who are the best 3 wrestlers ever on one team in one year. Could it be the old Sterling Newman teams. Stillman Valley when they had 3 state champs or possibly Montini. They arguably have had the best Class A team ever even though they recruit. So the question is what is the best trio ever? In my opinion it's Stillman with Babcock, Clubb, and Rudsell. But dont forget about Montini.

Those 3 were unbelievable. Babcock was a monster. Clubb was a mean S.O.B. Rudsell was outstanding.
Whatever happened to Clubb and Rudsell. I know Babcock is playing football at U of I.

Those guys were great. Stillman is so small and they all grew up there. Montini has had better guys, but their talent pool is huge, so Stillman's accomplishment was more impressive. The coolest thing about that group is that Rudsell took his knocks his freshman year by wrestling heavier competition. He got pounded sometimes, but he got tough. I remember when he placed sixth in the Stillman tournament at 112, he probably weighed 95 lbs at most. He wrestled up to go around Clubb. I told people then that if he had another 10-15 pounds he'd be a state champ. Well, he put on the weight.

Just thought it was funny that you tried making it look like Central Illinois also thinks about that tough team!
