No Flash = No Photos

Why don't certain school allow media to use flash at their events. I was planning on covering two events so far this year, but since they don't allow flash inside their gym - I don't waste my time.

One of my friends was told it is an IHSA rule for no flash photography at wrestling events. This is not true. The rule is no spectator flash photography at IHSA sporting events...

I can understand no spectators flash, but media with professional level camera equipment should be allowed to shoot with flash...that is if you want to see photo's...
