Yes, I converted everything to B&W and then applied the warming 81B filter to the photos, thinking it would give them a less hard feeling. I was, in fact, inspired by the toning of some of your series, which I think work so well.
#7 was totally a chance picture. I see this bird coming, and by the time I can shoot, it's already above me, and I just pointed upwards. I like these unexpected results, the feeling that I'm not controlling everything.
I have to confess that carrying the small camera makes one more "daring" in a way. It's not as fast as a DSLR, but on the other hand, one can shoot with just one hand. People do look at the camera but I walk pretty fast
