One will never know until it's printed. And, I don't print, unless it's for some special event. Anyway, I have one of those last generation Mac laptops which supposedly has a brighter and wider gamma than other computers I've own, and I have similar problems. Everything in my screen looks brighter. When I recently composed a book at one of those publishing sites, the photos looked darker in the book. The color and quality was very good, but darker. So, now I know I must replace the pictures making them lighter if I order another copy.
