My dog was a border collie mix and my dad,

who had a sheep farm in the USA midwest, had a pure bred border collie. Both were not that large when full grown. I would have another of the same breed if space allowed... and yes it does not matter...

or: "no it does not matter", depending on the culture you grew up in.
