I would like to think that I saw a potential photo opertunity and waited, hahaha.
Actually hiking in the cold is no problem on a sunny day as long as you keep moving, your feet stay dry, and the wind isn't too bad. I like the cold and have done winter (sub zero F) camping in a tent as well. I do have trouble with the heat.
