stopped by the Nikon service center to talk to the guys about options and ended up handing over the lens for service. Could not find any good documentation online and was thinking about checking at the camera museums for a repair book (disassembly guide), and a DIY project.
But the lens is 40 years old and I thought why not let some professional hands touch it...
