and of course the "path" is curved to help prevent the wall from falling over... kind of like me on my bicycle after a few beers
. My grandpa had a rock garden on his farm in northern Wisconsin where he collected all the stones (some quite large) that came up to the surface during/after the winter season. He did a short fence, but in the end just piled them up.
I like the massive nature of the stone fences in your images. Looks like some of the stones are broken to size (image number 5). BTW I also like the birch trees and composition in number one. Very nice break from the city...
