they do that ride every day ferrying people and goods.
two of the guys are locals (but not from that farflung area). the "oldies" (us) are what forms the regulars
food... well, my friend brought cheese and crackers. the locals brought fish, chicken, etc. one of the locals is a mountaineer/photographer and had with him a portable gas stove packed in a pelican like suitcase. he doubled as our "cook".
not much by way of local cuisine. fried plantains for snacks.
unlike Casey's recent trip, i lost a few pounds over that 4 day trip... which i gained right after i landed here in Manila :p
