      Hi Eduardo,

      I did try Silverfast last year and it does work properly with my scanner and computer, but it's too expensive and I only use the scanning for low res internet sharing anyway (as opposed to printing) so I don't need a deluxe solution. I think the basic VueScan will be sufficient until the scanner gives up the ghost.

      And the contrast, yes that was intentional. This image just didn't look right to me with black in it.
