Batanes, 2011

Photobucket

What I wait for; the morning light. Sidelit and on to the port at 6:29 am. A group of fishermen. But they also do porter duty among other things. The guy with the floppy hat, we remember him from 2007. Of course, he doesn't remember us. My friend had a nice portrait of him while we were crossing the sea with that light.

I wake up early to shoot. Not that I can say the same thing for work :p

it's also where most boats dock. the old landing area beside it didn't have a dock. you had to jump from boat to shore not too long ago. cost a friend of mine his 16-35 back in 2006 when he landed on a slippery patch.

thanks, james happy.gif

Have to agree that the morning is a wonderful time to photograph... I am sure those guys were up much earlier wink.gif... I like the setting of sky, water, and background mountains... can almost smell the ocean... with that slight blue tint (on my monitor).

Beautiful location well captured...
