"After the snow..." is the title of this February 20 post. Outside the "Drug and Cosmetic" store... up until a few years ago even aspirin was a prescription only item, and it still remains quite expensive. I always stock up when visiting overseas...

The last of the snow and extreme cold weather has now passed so expect to see spring photos from your Japanese friends wink.gif. The cherry blossom front is moving north and the peak will be the first week of April in Tokyo...

funny they call it cosmetic store and people walk in with masks on. Only in Japan.

cosmetics are sold at drug stores, where you can also find laundry soap... light bulbs are at the electronic shop. Cosmetics can also be found at department stores, with a brand specific consultant to assist you. Food is always in B1 or B2 (basement), with samples of course. There is a system wink.gif.

It was a beautiful day under the blossoms... the peak for viewing in (the 23 wards of) Tokyo seems to be this week...
