Okay - I've never been and never really wanted to go - but Shell has been "the" sponsor since Katrina and offers volunteer opportunities. So, I signed up for one of the 40 slots alloted for the Houston-based Shell/Motiva staff - and have been selected.
So, I'll be there for May 2-4 working a four-five hour shift each day. Pray that it's not too hot that weekend - like schatze, I'm a delicate Southern flower.
If my schedule lets me out early enough - and it should - it's First Friday and I'd love to be part of the Forum's get together if one is held that night!
I also hope to get some time to bother Rita and the Algerine before our bus returns on Sunday.
did I cite the "don't use a porta potty" rule or the drink water and stay hydrated and fresh rule?
Did I tell you I went brunette this weekend? This DFSW was not meant to go that dark -EVER - even if it was an accident. Although, I suspect a certain other forumite may have switched bottles in a gift pack of hairdye...

never thought someone would switch the color blend so I never looked twice (or closely) at the bottles. Just took it on faith that what the box said is what was in the box. I learned a lesson from this one!
I have about six packs of assorted brands. Few of them are sealed in the stores. I mostly shop at wally-world so it could easily have been tampered w/ at the store. It was a big surprise to have black hair. And, it took some major stripping to get it so I could put a color that is acceptable to go out in public. Saturday, all will be better as I put my head and hair in the hands of a professional!!! And, I'll never do my hair at home again w/o checking the labels on all the components!
Whenever I utter the word "exercise" I will rinse my mouth with chocolate!
