4500 & 4600 blocks of Magazine Street

lake side - what was in those 2 blocks in the 40's & 50's? There was Elmer's candy & Klein rug cleaning place. We're trying to determine the exact locations. There was also Dillenkoffer Auto Repair.

The Bead Shop is in the 4600 blk nowadays. Doesn't Big Mer have an old City Directory? That would have the information you're looking for.

so without the names of the businesses, that info would be hard to find.

Re: your other post, there is no section for "Bars" in the phone book but there are plenty of "Beer Gardens" and "Cocktail Lounges". I'll check them out.
