Masson's

My mom's second hubby worked there. The thing that I remember most is the jars of colored sugar they used to sell.

I remember they served it with coffee at some restaurant and my mother had to always have some on hand to serve to guests.

My Mama's boyfriend from the 4th grade

March 29 2008, 11:09 PM

at Our Lady of Good Counsel was some sort of manager there in the 70's. I went there once for a wedding reception and when they took the wedding party into a separate room to get food before the madness started, I told him I was E.B.'s daughter. His face lit up and he asked me if my mama was at the reception. When I informed him that yes, she was, he made a beeline out the door to see her. As we were leaving, my mama was handed a box of food, six champagne glasses and two bottles of champagne, compliments of Mr. Vincent. Seems the torch still burned after all those years.
