The art deco house may not be exactly my taste (although the inner swirled columns are interesting), but I'm still glad it was rescued.

I must have passed by that house a zillion times in my life, as it's on Canal Blvd. It looks vaguely familiar, but I can't locate it precisely.

No wonder it looked familiar. When I was in high school at Mount Carmel we lived in the 6800 block of Louisville, parallel to Canal Blvd.
