Anyone still writing software?

November 2 2007 at 1:33 PM

Is anyone out there still writing software for the 328/318 -- anything you want to share via cas files? I've dug out a few embarrasingly old programmes I wrote lately and would be willing to swap

Wrote programmes in good old Basic for ages. From Roll-Royce in '68 and then again in 81 for my sons. The 318 was great and I will always regret dumping it on the tip.

Software Team?

I have gone a little bit 8-bit crazy lately. Now I am interested in doing some assembly stuff for the Spectravideo, I have a SV318mkII, and three SV328s, 2 super expanders and 4 drives - All bought from EBay! Now all this hardware is great I am going to set it all up on a big bench and start coding ... I want to play around with making some tracker routines and play with the TMS9918 a bit. I have plenty of assemblers for the C64, but nothing native for the Spectravideo - unless I cross assemble, an assembler - what is there for the Spectravideo that I can use on the 318/328?

I did have something of an assembler one time, but then maybe it was just a monitor, even that would be useful? Anyone got a link or tape reference from the big collection that I can check out?

Cheers,
Elliot

New SV/MSX software?

There are not many new programs for SV-318/328. However, demo and game scenes are still quite active on SV-728 and other MSX machines.

You can search for MSX productions: http://www.pouet.net/

There are also many MSX enthusiast events around the world, this one is in Finland every year: http://msx.fi/party/
