Ya-all are amazing. My youngest son and I plan on being in the Carrier Dome for the State Championship. Being a former CF grad 1976, it makes me proud to see the tradition continue.
My son tell me we have an open date next year for our first game, maybe you could come down here to Hendersonville TN and show us how it's done!!
I'm a little too old (class of 1976) but I have a son that would love to play you guys so I would shut up about how great Forks Football is. Good Luck.
Per Thomas
hi per i remember you from your football days and your mom from the school board both of u did a good job i might add at what you did. how did u end up in tenn and do you think your school would beat forks
Hello Mr. Aston, It's great to see that you are still involved in the Forks Football program. It's the dedication of people like you that keep the program great.
Since you asked, I'll answer, no I don't think this year's Hendersonville team would beat this year's Forks team. We are not playing well as a team. Now, next year that may be different story. We have 1622 students (I think we would be considered AA in NY) in grades 9 - 12. Under the current Coach we have gone to the playoffs every year and twice to the State final. (Losing both) We typically have 4-6 players that receive football scholarships. Currently James Wilhoit is the starting kicker at the University of Tennessee. We have a junior running back, Edward Sawyer that will probably go division 1. We would be similar to playing someone like Syracuse CBA.
Like you, we have a strong QB Club. Last year we put new lights in. This year we installed a visitor side press box and regraded our practice field. About five years ago we built a field house but we still have about $100,000 left to pay it off. The QB club rises between $30,000 and $40,000 a year, which is usually spent before we get it.
Yes, of course I would love to play the Forks. We should make it an educational/football experience. We start our 2/3 a day practices right after July 4th and we are in school the second week in August. Ask Coach Green, see what he says.
My son and I plan on being at the Forks State Championship. Those guys make us old timers proud. Please say hello to your family.
Hi,
My youngest son, Daren went to Harshaw for K/1st only, before we moved to Tennessee. I went to the Forks K-12. I don't remember having any Christmas party for Daren and him friends, but back in my day there may have been one or two
i am sorry, my wife informs me that it might have been a new years eve party. remember that crazy girl you use to ride to marywood with. Well she told me you are loaded and can afford to pay for the team and mel and craig to come to because you miss us so much.
Craig,
After I win the lottery then I can pay.
I would love to have us play each other. However I haven't even mentioned this to our coaches, it's just internet bantering. We plan on being in the area during Thanksgiving break, let's get together
