It has been 10 years to the season since I have put on that red helmet and walked on to the field as a Forks Football player. I just wanted to say that even if you didn't win the state championship Not One of you players or coaches has anything to regret. I along with many other Forks alumni and fans are truly proud of all you have accomplished this season!!! WELL DONE GENTLEMAN and remeber the quote "That which does not kill us, only makes us stronger" You all will be much stronger after this! Hopefully I will run into some of the players in the High School if I sub there during the remainder of the year. GOOD LUCK WITH ALL YOUR UPCOMING SPORTS SEASONS!
It has been 45 years for me, but the lessons I learned in a Red Helmet have been a great benefit to me. Friendship, teamwork, and goal setting, are the great lessons Forks Football taught me. You guys set a goal, a high goal, and you nearly accomplished it. Lots of teams and people accept less of themselves, but you will always be among the few who have set and achieved the highest standards. Congratulations to the Rye Garnets. They had to be great to beat a GREAT team. Go get'em next year.
