Well, you again piqued my curosity on how the Maxxum lens ROMS communicate with the camera.
It seems that it's a three wire protocol roughly following the SPI convention;
Should be possible to use a programmable to emulate the output. Microchip even makes chips that interface with PICs to the SPI protocol.
I've got an old Maxxum 7000 ready to hook up to an oscilloscope now that I sort of know what the pins do. Don't have a clue though how to hook it up or what sweep frequency to be starting with.
Maybe someone here that actually knows what they are doing like Rolf could help me get started.
