only went once.... my dining companion wasn't impressed, so we never went back. I thought it was okay and a little pricier than our usual sushi places. One try is not enough, but it had enough of an "awkward" feel to it (it was probably just us) that we didn't really want to rush back. I have friends who are on both sides of the fence, so why not try it!

I love this place. I wouldn't recommend it as the top sushi restaurant in New Orleans, but it is very good. I go here quite often since I live and work nearby. It's convenient, there is never a wait, the staff is efficient & the food is very good. I don't find it overpriced either, and for the dining options in the River Ridge/Elmwood area, this restaurant is a welcome addition.
Edamame (sp??) is terrific. However, it would be hard to mess this one up -- just steamed soybeans sprinkled with sea salt. Usually have the crab and cucumber salad, which is very, very good. It's not hard to make (will post recipe if anyone wants it), and I am not totally convinced that they don't use the imitation crabmeat, which is okay in this case. They're not overcharging, and they're not claiming it's lump-meat crab or anything.) Another salad I've had is the salmon skin, but that I didn't care for.
As far as the sushi -- typically order
-- California Roll
-- Tuna
-- Salmon
-- Eel (This one is cooked traditionally like all other sushi places I've visited. It's my favorite. They do have an all eel dinner, but the sauce is rich, and I have yet to order it as it would be too much of a good thing.)
-- Shrimp, regular
-- Shrimp, sweet (This one is completely raw, and they serve the shrimp head and shell along with it. It's okay. Different, but not a favorite.)
-- Soft shell crab roll (Excellent!)
