CLEOPATRA (West Bank)

CLEOPATRA: On Manhattan Boulevard just past the intersection of Lapalco. No Bar, no winelist, no BYOB, just Mid-Eastern food. I tried the Baba Ganouj for starters and the Moussaka entree.
The menu is fairly standard, no surprises. The actual foods really shine, though. The pita bread was fresh-made and puffy. The moussaka was a very tender rendition of fresh eggplant and other vegetables served with rice pilaf. White tablecloths with fresh flowers and a candle on each table. Well dressed, friendly waiter. Food came quickly.

I have had 5 meals in the last month at Cleopatra. All have been excellent!

Just learned tonight you can BYOB. No Corkage!

Will write a report soon. Love their version of Mousaka. Light, very tasty and fresh. No potatoes!

And make sure to visit Oasis Pastries 2 doors down!
