Spahr's recently reopened after having been closed since 2002 due to a fire. Spahr's is best known for their catfish, caught wild in nearby Lac Des Allemands. The kitchen here knows their frying and turns out some consistantly good catfish, shrimp and oysters. Don't pass up the appetizers of crawfish hush puppies, corn nuggets and onion sticks. A large picture window in the rear of the dining area overlooks scenic Dufrene Ponds and if the weather is right you may see a gator or two basking in the sun on the little island behind Spahr's.

On U. S. 90 a few miles West of the Des Allemands high rise bridge. Open 7 days, lunch and dinner 985 758 1602
