Breastfeeding Challenge

On October 1, 2005 there a fun event taking place across Canada and the US and possibly other countries at 11am local time. It’s the Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge. You register a site before October 1st– it can be a few mothers at the local coffee shop or something much bigger. The Quintessence Foundation (a non profit educational foundation) website www.babyfriendly.ca makes it really easy to take part. Every baby counts! Last year the number of children taking part in Canada outnumbered the number who took part in a similar event in Australia in August 2004. Let’s do it again and show we believe in the best start – breastfeeding!
