Response to Windsor JR Tournament
Sometimes tou. comittees screw up. This is one. Owha should have snactioned against tis one. We hesitated to promote it and the wildcast blew it.
NOt entirely their fault though, Seems they wanted a Canadian and Us division to play against and at hetime it might have had merit until Culver "unrepentantly" pulled out and we're left to sympathize with their situation(ie.Death? What?)
To make a long story shorter, the awaited rematch of Hamilton vs Windsor(gold game at Chatham)isn't possible due to scheduling and then sticking with a Can vs US final. Here's the twist, the Can teams were schedule to play one Canadian Team from their pool.Windsor picked Chatham, expecting a route, but the outaws kicked it into high gear for a tie. NOw it could be argued Hamilton facing Oakville was equal!
That being true by itself is credible, However Goofy Gary(Windsor GM) decided prior to the tournament that they would have to play a Make up game with the US side so the Wildcast scheduled a game With Honeybaked that results wouldn't stand for Windsor. Does this sound familiar NCCP. Yes that Honeybaked, the one that excelled in MISSY. So lets see, Windsor tries to advance over Hamilton, the only serious Canadian contender with this "fix". Now the Hawks have to beat Honeybaked to advance. Somehow the good guys always win. Hawks beat Honeybaked 4-1 and combined with Windsors' tie with Chatham probably sets up Hamilton in the final and Windsor goes to consey.
You get your just desserts in life and so goes another example why the Wildcast likes to shoot itself in the foot. Guys promote your girls and get on the same page wth OWHA---Fairness to all.
