Response to Re: Re: Do you make the rules?!
Have you read the constitution of SWGHL? or any for that mattter. Where does anybody draw from? You don't,pick ups from your own association has to be from a lower or equal age classification. The exeption is if you hav Presidential approval with convener approval. This is for any game regular or tournament. eg Bantam AA cannot go up and play midget A. but Swghl will allow if approved.
You cannot pick up any player for playoffs!! Note section 3C and Intermediate AA rules specifically. They are on line at swghl website.(WWW.SWGHL.COM) The penalties according to the constitutions are severe. Hockey Canada dictates that rules enforced by it's members(OWHA) can be INCREASED but not reduced!!
So the dilemma is Cambridge CHEATED, thery got caught with their handsin the cookie jar . They don;t want to comment.
I'm sure Canada's national sport who pride itself on fairness will come thru if SWGHL does not live up to it's responsiblities to be "Fair".
It's a hell of a way to treat a neighbour!
The membership made the rules and they look to it's executives to live up to their responsibilities. Watch for more on this one. No one is talking but we won't let this one go away.
Rochester has a statement and we'll table it here as well as SWGHL should they decide to talk. In the meantime the issue has been passed to OHF and Hockey Canada to see if they want to lead by example.
