Response to So when is it okay to use call-ups?
Womens hockey is unique. You can call up for tournaments, regular season and exhibition games. Sometimes an OWHA pick up form is necessary depending on what league has jurisdiction. SWGHL doesn't bother with forms but makes you pick up from your association only.
NO pick ups are allowed for playoffs in Junior AA in Ontario
Under Hockey Canada the rules of registration are relaxed meaning that CIS or NCAA players can in fact be registered to an OWHA card as well.
OWHA decided a long time ago that teams should not be able to drastically "change" their lineups for playoffs. Much like McGill university did with the best goaltender in the world.
Educated coaches and fans make better hockey associations and anyone caught cheating or asking boards to cheat ought to be ashamed of themselves. Any knowledgeable coach would have known this in tryouts, so there's allways next year. Good Luck.
Post, by the way if you know where I live, feel free to come over and we will enlighten you and show you where you can read the rules. If need be we will read them for you if your not old enough.
