After seymours comments on the hawks and the obvious differences with statsy, i decided to make some calls to my contacts for a better read on Hamilton. Especially since I have only seen them once, cannot come up with an educated opinion. So, it seems they play well at inch. the long drive out friday night from the city, may give these girls a distinct advantage on home ice (not an advantage against the cudas)and a disadvantage on opponents ice when the hawks make the trip. this may explain their indifferent play at the Big tournys like the missie tourny. I was also told they are a hardworking close knit team with some skill but not particularly strong at keeping the puck out. the 1 game i saw, their gaolie played well but maybe hurting at Dee. Statsy's close but consensus is honorable mention would be more accurate rating until they can lower GAA. they fit in where brampton does.
Statsy, do these observations have any validity? |
