Strange fans, THe OWHA, SWGHL and Hockey Canada all very quiet about cheating and what it means in the fairness of hockey.
WE brought to your attention 3 months ago a scenario we weren't impressed with if you recall. Cambridge's Erin Normore suspended for the SWGHL all star game. We wondered why she wasn't playing due to her skills but then we found out Cambrdidge did name her(coach Grant) and because she couldn't play, SWGHL (Mr. Leclair ) allowed her to run off a suspenson for one of her mistakes.
Is it any surprise considering what has transpired since the illegal pickups were used against Rochester. We questioned SWGHL pres. Sue. Vandegraaf and received no responce. Harry Phillip convener decided no one here deserves to know.
We know only 3 Camb. players were missing. Kincardine tender Janelle Stamm,Elaine Dumas,(multiple concussion), 4th year agitator Cathy Reidl. These missing players are not exactly monumental losses. So why the permission?
Enter Mr Leclair, now acting convener while his daughter plays for the Fury. Permission is granted and approved in writing. Did Mr Leclair declare a conflict of interest. Hell no!! An approval that is constitutionally wrong was his answer. Convener( Harry Phillips) comes back off vacation and informs that the pick ups shouldn't have happened. Geez all too convenient and contrived , but then again 3 weeks had transpired since Rochester had been cheated.
Is it any wonder that the SWGHL BOARD now has ratified the illegal pickups and now want to protect the "Cheats".
We won't go away, sorry all parties knew they were in the wrong. What is totally unacceptable is you ,SWFGHL board have, by your ratificaiton allowed "Cheats" to benefit. You don't have the girls at heart. I think you have a virus and God help us all if it is contagious.
P.S. Windsor, Bluewater,London- Leclair may me reffing in Windsor or worse working the backroom!! He might be the acting convener.
