Brampton scored the winning goal with about a minute left in the 1st O/T period on a deflection from a point shot. The goal was deflected in the air and there was speculation that it was done via a high stick. Very diffcult to tell from the stands (being that we as spectators were high above the ice surface).
This was a highly entertaining game with several excellent scoring chances by both teams. Clearview held a 1-0 lead until late in the 3rd period when Brampton banged in a rebound to send the game to O/T. When Clearview was up 1-0, they missed a glorious chance to move ahead 2-0 when a rebound sailed by the right post by inches. Both "tenders" played exceptional and in the end it was a shame that either team had to lose.
There have been several posts about the Nepean/Aeros match and it is too bad that more people aren't giving Brampton more credit for playing disciplined and having an excellent Tourney - undefeated and heading for Gold. Go Brampton you deserve it!
