Interesting things are working out in Midget AA. Definately the toughest leagues to judge . NMGHL & SWGHL only play each other twice in their division play. Rivalries and knowledge of your opposition is limited, but beating up weaker teams is somewhat doubled. Hint if your GAA is over 2.00 seriously consider re-classification for Provincials. Sometimes the difference between GAA and GFA is a strong indicator of a teams overall performance if they aren't beating the opposition up badly.Anyway, here goes:
1.Nepean(1) Ninth week in a row here and well deserved, 22GP- 19w-2L-1T. In midget Comp only Sarnia has touched them with a 1-1 tie.9 shutouts..GM's if you haven't seen nor played these guys it's time to drive to Nepean because you can't depend on lightning to strike!! As a Recent Prime Minister once said--"yours to loose!!"
2.Clearview(2) Holds onto to number two, but don'tlook over your shoulder, everyone's coming!!
3.Etobicoke(5) Etobicoke continues to deliver against their weaker SWGHL opposition but reamins untested against the best.
4.Aeros(2) Behind in league games but loads of offence available with a tough defence.
5.Durham(6) Same as Aeros, offensive team waiting for opposition. Defence will be tough
6.Kingston(4) Promising future if can continue to go for the throat without self destructing... Don't hog the puck!!
7.Niagara(9) Niagara has found itself, 2 key players back almost 100%- this team is close remake of last years-- they know how to win, but you have to be healthy. London and Brampton got their taste last week but we won't see any future Etobicoke game with these girls.
8.Sarnia(8) the team nobody wanted is making teams pay. Ask Nepean, who got sent home at Rochester. The more Midget AA experience this team gets, will make them realize the penalty box is no place to be.
Learn by Nepean-nice feather in your cap!!
9.Barrie(-) you appear to have a decent ofence and the "D" is holding you in. Your schedule is somewhat untested against the established but you are holding your own.
10.London(7)The defence is holding you down but yur offence is sputtering or puking. Oakville gave you 4 this week, but for some reason either injuries or complacency is settling in. Barely 500 and expect it to get worse or wake up and see the light-the race is on!!
Anyways good luck this week as 8 points separate 12 teams in NMGHL -east and 2 points separate 7 teams in a weaker NMGHL-west

Calling the nmghl west division weak is pretty risky ..considering how Etobicoke was blasted for making the comment "no competition"!
Simply. We somewhat agree with Etobicoke!!No score for this post

Why would you post the correct east stats and then not post that 13 points seperate 12 teams in the west?

Just to let you know, lets assume we took Etobicoke out of west. 2nd place to 9th is a 2 point spread at roughly 9 games into the season. It's not parity but rather a mixed schedule, playing each other twice. Now you may argue the same for the east but you will note the 2 camps are dividing quickly. The strong and the weak. Compare GAA and GFA and you'll quickly see the huge difference in divisions generally and certainly not specific to only 1 or 2 teams. Are there contenders in the west. Certainly, review the "TOP TEN"!!
True but...No score for this post

here's my take on it....if Aeros had 9 games played they would most likely be at 16 points. Would you then remove them from the equation like you did Etobicoke?

C'mon guys, all teams are not created equal. Beating sub-par teams to pad a win/loss ratio throws your rankings in the garbage. Who did you play against to post those wins? Statistics can't answer all the questions, you have to add the unbiased overview of all play - exactly what Statsy is doing.

So are you saying that if you play in the west your stats don't count. I guess beating up on teams like Coldcreek,Leaside and Auora makes for far better competion.

No, what I am saying is that someone - like Statsy - has to take an look at at the win/loss record, GF and GA of each team as well as whom they've played and then make a judgement call as to where they stand in the ranking. It can't be solely based on statistics because there are too many factors to consider that are subjective and not objective.

This post was not started by Statsy and is not Statsy's team rankings. It was started by The General and called Top 3 Midget AA BY Win Percentage.
I am not suggesting were Etobicoke should be ranked only that by win percentage these are not the top three.
Beating up on who!?!No score for this post

I'm sorry..but speaking of not saying true things..leaside is getting beat up on...and so is cold creek, but of the 3 games aurora lost in league games the worst loss was by 2 goals, and the other two were by a goal..so saying teams are beating up on aurora isn't true...barrie is in second place and lost 7-0 to durham..and willowdale and peterborough both have more losses than aurora..you didn't mention any of them (among others..) so it looks like you need to get your facts straight too
