Strange fans, THe OWHA, SWGHL and Hockey Canada all very quiet about cheating and what it means in the fairness of hockey.

WE brought to your attention 3 months ago a scenario we weren't impressed with if you recall. Cambridge's Erin Normore suspended for the SWGHL all star game. We wondered why she wasn't playing due to her skills but then we found out Cambrdidge did name her(coach Grant) and because she couldn't play, SWGHL (Mr. Leclair ) allowed her to run off a suspenson for one of her mistakes.

Is it any surprise considering what has transpired since the illegal pickups were used against Rochester. We questioned SWGHL pres. Sue. Vandegraaf and received no responce. Harry Phillip convener decided no one here deserves to know.

We know only 3 Camb. players were missing. Kincardine tender Janelle Stamm,Elaine Dumas,(multiple concussion), 4th year agitator Cathy Reidl. These missing players are not exactly monumental losses. So why the permission?

Enter Mr Leclair, now acting convener while his daughter plays for the Fury. Permission is granted and approved in writing. Did Mr Leclair declare a conflict of interest. Hell no!! An approval that is constitutionally wrong was his answer. Convener( Harry Phillips) comes back off vacation and informs that the pick ups shouldn't have happened. Geez all too convenient and contrived , but then again 3 weeks had transpired since Rochester had been cheated.

Is it any wonder that the SWGHL BOARD now has ratified the illegal pickups and now want to protect the "Cheats".

We won't go away, sorry all parties knew they were in the wrong. What is totally unacceptable is you ,SWFGHL board have, by your ratificaiton allowed "Cheats" to benefit. You don't have the girls at heart. I think you have a virus and God help us all if it is contagious.

P.S. Windsor, Bluewater,London- Leclair may me reffing in Windsor or worse working the backroom!! He might be the acting convener.

This is great information. Have you considered taking the campaign to right this wrong, off this forum and directly to those involved?

What I mean is, take this e-mail and compose a letter and send it to all involved, including THE LOCAL MEDIA in each centre.

Once you've sent it to each party, if they don't respond, contact the newspapers directly and ask for the Sports Editor and inform them of what has transpired.

You may be surprized how quickly these idiots at SWGHL, North Metro, Cambridge, and Kitchener straighten up if they think that the media is going to take up the cause.

(Don't forget the Rochester media...of everyone...they will probably be THE MOST interested in this story, because it was their team that was ripped.)

Give it a try. You may be surprised about hqw quickly things are addressed.

Great idea Seymore, then perhaps some real action will happen. Unfortunately all the talk on this forum will not resolve the problem. Hope your suggestion is taken into consideration.

All you can come up with is foul language when you know what happened is wrong. All that shows is the lack of respect your parents have taught you. What insightful repartee! I am thankful that there is a forum where things that have been done wrong can be brought out to everyone’s attention. I have been reading this for almost 2 weeks now, and I am glad I found this site.

Heard from an inside source that the Diceman, thats right the brains behind this whole ordeal, the diceman, got signed by the Cambridge Fury to coach, manage, time keep, run practices, and even do statistics! they figured that since this guy is gods gift to hockey Cambridge won't have to cheat, lie, use illegal players, or for thier sake even get permission anymore. (cause the diceman is also running for president, mayor and heard premier of Ontario as well! anyways, just thought I would keep ya'll up to date on this breaking news... It was also brought to my attention that Cambridge is going to try and dress the Winterhawks (junior B) for this weekend and put wigs on them since they can't use call-ups! WOW, that would really be something! rules, what rules...they got permission from the Mid-Western junior B league to use these players so look out for C-Bridge this weekend...wowsers.

thats one that everyone should be able to find out in no time! I also heard tonight that Cambridge is flying their team to Windsor for the championships! their connection through SWGHL has sponsored the team for a plane that will land in the arena parking lot sometime around 10 am. They'll also be signing autogrpahs when they get off the bus. But the call-ups have to drive down so they don't get suspicious if they see them get off the bus. Last but not least Cambridge got a new sponsorship from Bauer. Bauer gave them all new helmets to wear this weekend and for the rest of the year. but theres only one condition, the helmets are red! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW! a whole team of call-ups...I mean cheaters! we may have to check ID's, whos accountable for this, when is Hockey Canada, and USA Hockey going to clamp down on cheating, this is ruining the best league in the world.

SWGHL is now the laughing stock of hockey. Here I got one for you: how many executive members does it take to read a rule book? Depends on how many are away on vaction.

Was Harry the only person who has a copy of the rules? NO they are posted on their web site. How can anyone believe this story, it is worst then the dog ate my homework one. What is even harder to swallow, is that despite the fact that they broke the rules and that the league knows it. They are going to be allowed to advance to the next round. This does not pass the smell test. Come on opponents tell the league that you will not participate in the day of shame!!!

Does anyone on the Board of The SWGHL not have a mind of their own? Lets force teams to play at our all star game, because it said in the same rules that you all can't seem to read. After all you where just inforcing the rules, nobody can blame you for that?

Do you really think that the new league will consider playing games against the teams in this league after this? Or will there even be a SWGHL Junior league next year.

When Bluewater was deciding wether to attend the all-star game, SWGHL, came down with a heavy hand, suggesting that teams would be expelled from the league if they failed to attend. Didn't Stoney Creek and Toronto play last night?

They started but the game was terminated because ice was damaged in part of the rink. I don't know the score at termination. The game will be replayed, apparently in its entirety, tommorow night - venue and time to be established.

This forum is a disgrace to hockey. who is this diceman guy? is he the presdient of something? he seems to know everything about anyone. I don't even know why this is still an issue. I have been reading this forum a couple times now and I have also read the rules on the SWGHL website. It appears that if Cambridge received permission than nothing was wrong and no one was cheated. Just because Cambridge has half a brain and called up players, knowing they would be short why should they be penalized? On the other hand if they didn't receive permission than yes, this diceguy has an issue, but from what I have heard they had permission. I think this guy is stirring the wrong pot if that's what his intent of all his comments is.

No where in the SWGHL Junior rules does it say you can use pick ups in playoffs. Cambridge is the only team(persons) saying they had a wrtten permission to do so.

Permission under 3c is from the convener and Pres. only applies to younger divisions. They might have tried to approve it but it goes against the constitution and their actions are disgusting. Cambridge attempted to get permissionn to break the rules. They asked a father to do it.

The ony thing disgusting about "unofficial Owha" is having to listen to cheats because that comes with having the right to freedom of speech.

History will hold you accountable and no one is about to forget. Apology accepted, now go back to the alley. There's 600,000 viewers who want hockey a little more fairer than what SWGHL does.

For all those who anticipated that the SWGHL Minutes would clarify things, you will find the following tucked in as the last item from the recently posted SWGHL Minutes of March 12:

"Harry had a concern with the use of callups for Cambridge/Rochester series. After some discussion, it was confirmed that this was done with executive approval"

I have never used a persons name on any post regarding this issue. As for me and unoffical being the same person, well you can check out previous post to see that we are not the same person. I have insulted him/her and poked fun as well, but any person who can read knows that we are not the same person. I dont have a daughter who plays goal, nor has my daughter been cut by the Cambridge team. I have a good idea who you are not important, but as stated previously will not place names on this subject!! Also I think that you have gone a long way in making sure that the number of players that are going to show up at tryouts this year, are a lot less then you think.

I do have a piece of advice for you not important:
It is better to be thought an idiot then to speak and remove all doubt.
